92 WASHINGTON CO. BLINN STUDENTS HONORED IN SPRING CHANCELLOR’S, DEANS’ SCHOLARS LISTS
Ninety-two Washington County students earned academic honors during Blinn College’s Spring 2020 semester, according to the College’s newly released Chancellor’s and Deans’ Scholars lists.
Blinn named 45 students from Brenham, Burton, and Chappell Hill to the Chancellor’s Scholars List, while 47 from Brenham, Burton, Chappell Hill, and Washington placed on the Deans’ Scholars List.
In total, 2,417 students earned academic honors, made up of 1,144 students on the Chancellor’s Scholars List and 1,273 to the Deans’ Scholars List.
To be named a Chancellor’s Scholar, students must earn a 3.75 grade point average, complete at least 12 credit hours, and pass all their courses. Students must attain a 3.25 GPA, complete at least 12 credit hours, and pass all their courses to earn Deans’ Scholar recognition.

Blinn Chancellor Dr. Mary Hensley said these students continued to show their talent and dedication in the classroom this spring, despite the upheaval caused by COVID-19. She said it is a privilege to recognize these students for their hard work “in the midst of a semester that presented unprecedented challenges”.
