“BEA” NAMED PET OF THE WEEK; MICROCHIP DRAWING FRIDAY
The Brenham Pet Adoption Center has named “Bea” as its Pet of the Week.
Bea is a hound mix, about six months to one year old. Brenham Animal Services staff say she is extremely energetic and loves people and other dogs. Staff say she will need a significant amount of exercise and a lot of time and effort to train her as to what is expected of her.
Bea is up to date on vaccinations and worm-free, and is also on heartworm preventative medication. She will be spayed before she is adopted.
Thanks to a donation from a Washington County resident, Brenham Animal Services has 20 microchips to give away. Starting today (Monday), local residents can sign up for a free drawing by calling or emailing Brenham Animal Services and providing their name, phone number, address, and type of pet. The winners will be announced Friday on the Brenham Animal Services Facebook page. To enter into the drawing, call 979-337-7351, or email animalservices@cityofbrenham.org.
The Brenham Pet Adoption Center is still closed to visitors, but anyone looking to adopt or foster a pet can see the shelter’s available pets online at www.petfinder.com. They can also make appointments to meet a pet by calling, or by visiting the Brenham Animal Services Facebook page. Appointments are being taken Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m.
