BRENHAM MAN FACES ASSAULT CHARGE

A Brenham man has been taken into custody on a family violence charge.
Just past midnight this (Friday) morning, 20-year old Jeremy Cooper was arrested by Brenham Police.
Officers had been called out to a weapon call in the 2400 block South Chappell Hill St.
After investigation, Cooper was taken into custody for Aggravated Assault of a Family Member with a Weapon. Police say their investigation showed he had threatened the victim with the unidentified weapon.
Cooper was taken to the Washington Co. Jail.
