TEXAS A&M AGRILIFE OFFERING ONLINE BEEKEEPING SERIES JUNE 23-JULY 1
For those interested in beekeeping but not sure of where to start, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service is beginning an online beekeeping series.
The live, four-part online course will run June 23rd through July 1st, with sessions held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. The series will give participants an idea of what they will need and what they can expect during their first years as beekeepers.
The series will cover honey bee biology, beekeeping equipment, managing a hive, the pros and cons of beekeeping, and pest and disease management of honeybees. The courses will be recorded, so anyone who misses a class can watch it within a month of class completion.
Cost is $35 for the entire series. After registering, a link to Zoom and a password will be sent via text and email. Study materials will also be emailed so participants can follow along with the presentation.
Participants will not receive access to the online series until payment is received. To prevent a delay in access, payment by Visa, Mastercard, or Discover is recommended.
