NEW BEGINNINGS ANNUAL “WALK FOR LIFE” CANCELLED
New Beginnings Life Ministries in Brenham has cancelled its upcoming Walk for Life.
The annual fundraiser was set for August 8th at the Hohlt Park Amphitheatre. New Beginnings Executive Director Melinda Van Ostrand said with the recent surge in local COVID-19 cases, New Beginnings cannot “in good conscience” ask the public to attend an event, even one outside.
Tickets are still available to buy or sell for a drive-thru Chick-Fil-A meal and prize drawing, which will still be held on the 8th.
Meal tickets are $10, and they—along with drawing tickets—are available from any New Beginnings staff member, board member, or volunteer, or by emailing info@newbeginningbrenham.org. Drawing tickets can also be purchased online at www.newbeginningsbrenham.org.
