BRENHAM AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD TO HOLD VIRTUAL MEETING TUESDAY
The Brenham Airport Advisory Board will meet virtually tomorrow (Tuesday) to discuss a series of projects at the Brenham Municipal Airport.
The board will receive an update on the runway hump/bump repair project, which has been underway since June 22nd. The contract completion date for the project is slated for August 21st. The runway is planned to be completely closed for a second time at the end of the project.
Also at tomorrow’s meeting, the board will review a request from Brent Nedbalek of Aviators Plus to construct a new 80x100 foot hangar at the airport. City staff are evaluating some potential items that need to be discussed prior to approval of a lease agreement, such as fire protection requirements and drainage impacts, including what will be done to negate any negative draining impacts with the proposed development.
The board will also hold discussion and receive an update on the aviation minimum standards for the Brenham Municipal Airport. In addition, it will discuss any current issues regarding airport operations and future airport needs.
