WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO CONSIDER AUDIO EQUIPMENT PURCHASES

Washington County Commissioners will consider purchasing several pieces of audio equipment at their meeting Tuesday.

Commissioners will act on the purchase of audio systems for the district courtroom and courthouse annex using machinery and equipment funds from Washington County Information Technology.

The district courtroom audio purchases are estimated at $1,304 and include an 8-channel wireless microphone system, speaker and amplifier system, an equipment cabinet, and eight microphone stands.

The estimated purchase price of the audio system for the courthouse annex is $703 plus shipping.  It would include an amplifier with six speakers and another 8-channel wireless microphone system.  This system, according to IT Director T.J. Harris, will allow for a microphone for each court member and one at the presenter podium, with two spares in case more are needed.

Also in court Tuesday, commissioners will consider a resolution certifying that the county has granted funds this year to the Washington County Healthy Living Association (WCHLA) and that the county approves the WCHLA’s accounting system or fiscal agent.  The resolution allows the WCHLA to be eligible to receive funds from the Texas Department of Agriculture Home-Delivered Meal Grant Program.

Commissioners will also:

  • Hear a series of monthly county department reports.
  • Consider a formal notice for utility installation at 17157 Sweed Road for a two-inch road bore supplying new service by NEWCWS-Corix Utilities, Inc. in Precinct One.

Commissioners will meet Tuesday morning at 9 a.m., at the Washington County Courthouse Annex.
