“MOUSE” NAMED PET OF THE WEEK

The Brenham Pet Adoption Center has named “Mouse” as its Pet of the Week.

Mouse is a two-year-old border collie adopted at the Brenham animal shelter nearly a year ago.  She is now seeking a new family through Brenham Animal Services’ Home-to-Home program, which finds new homes for pets without having to drop them off at the shelter.

Mouse’s current owner says she is very shy and timid at first, but is overall an energetic and affectionate dog.  She is house broken, kennel trained, and knows basic commands.  Her owner says she needs someone who has a big yard and the time to give her.

More information on Mouse and on the Home-to-Home program is available online at https://bpac.home-home.org.

For pets at the Brenham Pet Adoption Center, fees are being waived each Saturday this month as part of the annual “Clear the Shelters” adoption event.

Adopters are encouraged to visit Brenham Animal Services’ online Pet Finder page to choose a pet they are interested in before coming to the shelter.  They can also make an appointment by visiting the Brenham Animal Services Facebook page, or by calling 979-337-7351.  Appointments are being taken Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m.

Anyone looking to support the Brenham Pet Adoption Center can donate to the Clear the Shelters Fund by visiting GreaterGood.org.
