TEXAS RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL JOB FAIRE SATURDAY, SUNDAY
The Texas Renaissance Festival’s annual Job Faire begins tomorrow (Saturday).
The two-day event takes place tomorrow and Sunday at the Texas Renaissance Festival grounds in Todd Mission, beginning at 9 a.m. each day.
The Job Faire gives vendors the opportunity to fill their staffing needs for the 2020 season. Independent vendors will be interviewing for positions such as hawkers, food and merchandise sales, food preparation, games, and rides. More than 4,000 jobs make up the festival.
Those interested in securing a position are encouraged to attend both days of the Job Faire, as different vendors could be on hand each day.
Job seekers should be prepared to fill out an application and bring a resume. They should also bring a face mask, as many vendors will hold interviews onsite at their shops. If hired, they will be directed to go to the Texas Renaissance Festival Pass Office—which requires face masks—for their parking pass and ID.
Applicants should also be prepared to work nine consecutive weekends, dress in costume, wear a face mask, and learn the “King’s English”.
In season, all staff and vendor employees will undergo a temperature screening prior to each shift that will be logged each festival day. Anyone with a fever will be sent home, while employees who are feeling symptomatic will be asked to stay home. Vendors will be required to follow state and federal health protocols and policies.
