NO INJURIES REPORTED AFTER FIVE BOATS SINK DURING TRUMP BOAT PARADE AT LAKE TRAVIS
No injuries have been reported after five boats sank at Lake Travis Saturday during a boat parade in support of President Trump.
Officials with the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said they received 15 distress calls from boaters reporting stalled engines, boats taking on water, capsized boats, and boats sinking. It also received three other reports of boats taking on water from a local towing company.
Three boats were towed from the water, with two others still submerged as of Sunday.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, conditions on the lake were calm, but the motion from the hundreds of boats in attendance created large waves and turbulence.
The Sheriff’s Office said it has not found any evidence of foul play.
