WAITING LIST OPEN FOR SEVERAL INCOMING SMALL BREED DOGS AT BRENHAM PET ADOPTION CENTER

  

The Brenham Pet Adoption Center is assembling a wait list for those who are interested in any of the dozens of incoming small breed dogs.

Brenham Animal Services Manager Allison Harper says the shelter has begun the intake process for nearly 30 dogs, most of which are in the 10-20 pound range.  Harper says Brenham Animal Services staff need about a week or so to have them looked at by a vet and sterilized.

Harper says the shelter’s dog kennels are very full, so staff are looking to get dogs placed with new homes as soon as possible.

Anyone who is interested in the small breed dogs can call Brenham Animal Services at 979-337-7351 to be added to the waiting list.  As dogs become ready for adoption, the shelter will contact those on the waiting list.

Pets currently available at the shelter can be seen at www.petfinder.com.  Appointments to visit a pet available for adoption or fostering can be made by calling, or by visiting the Brenham Animal Services Facebook page.  Appointments are being taken Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m.
