COLORADO CO. FAIR CROWNS QUEEN, JUNIOR QUEEN
Royalty for the Colorado County Fair was crowned Wednesday night at the Fair Queen and Junior Fair Queen Pageants.

Emily Elstner was named Fair Queen and Membership Queen out of five queen candidates. Ryleigh Parr was named runner-up in both categories.
Elstner was named the Membership Queen after selling the most jackpot drawing tickets, which were sold in lieu of season passes this year. Proceeds from jackpot ticket sales will go to the Colorado County Fair Scholarship fund.
Meanwhile, Ashley Treece was named Junior Fair Queen out of two contestants, with Shelby Ann Johnson being named runner-up.
Livestock shows at the Colorado County Fairgrounds began this (Thursday) morning and continue tomorrow (Friday). The fair parade is set for Saturday at 10 a.m. in downtown Columbus, with the Junior Livestock Auction following at 1 p.m.
