LOCAL CHILD’S DEATH UNDER INVESTIGATION
The Brenham Police Department Criminal Investigation Division is in the second week of a current investigation into the death of a one-year old child.
According to a department press release Monday evening, Police were called to a home in the 700 block of Parkview Street, off Pleasant View Avenue, North of Hattie Mae Flowers Park, Saturday, September 19th, just before 2:00 p.m.
Officers responded to a call of a small child who was not breathing. Upon arrival, officers assisted with giving CPR and the one-year old child was taken by ambulance to the Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Brenham.
Moments later, the child was pronounced deceased by the Justice of the Peace.
According to police, no further details can be released at this time due to the ongoing/open investigation.
