GRAHAM MASONIC LODGE HONORS BRENHAM ISD TEACHERS, PARAPROFESSIONALS

  

Graham Masonic Lodge recently honored Brenham ISD’s teachers and paraprofessionals of the year.

The lodge held a banquet Thursday, October 1st in recognition of 16 teachers and paraprofessionals across the district for the 2019-20 school year.  The program had been delayed from the spring due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Recognized as the district’s teacher of the year was Heather Kaldis at Brenham Elementary School, while Alison Vanek at Alton Elementary School was acknowledged as the district’s paraprofessional of the year.

Other teachers that were recognized included Kristina Lewis at the Brenham Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC), Barbara Broadus at Alton Elementary School, Stephanie Koehler at Krause Elementary School, Lori Prewitt at Brenham Middle School, Kimberly Kenjura at Brenham Junior High School, Alicia Moudry at Brenham High School, and Kathy Voshalike at the Pride Academy.

The paraprofessionals honored included Rose Roberts at the ECLC, Lorena Schroeder at Brenham Elementary School, Katherine Phillips at Krause Elementary School, Samantha Janes at Brenham Middle School, Esmeralda Ruiz at Brenham Junior High School, Linda Warzon at Brenham High School, and Nellie Moore at the Pride Academy.

Each of the teachers and paraprofessionals, along with Superintendent Dr. Tylor Chaplin, were treated to a meal and presented with a two-volume set of books on education and masonry in early Texas.  The district teacher of the year was also awarded a cash prize.

The lodge has participated in honoring teachers for over 30 years.
