NAVASOTA RESIDENTS ASKED TO TRIM OVERGROWN TREES

The City of Navasota is asking residents for their help in trimming low-hanging tree branches over roads.

Due to what the city calls “overwhelming tree growth,” residents are being asked to assist in trimming overgrown trees that impact the roadways.  Tree canopies above the road should be trimmed to a minimum height of 14 feet.

Low hanging branches over the road can prevent fire trucks, buses, garbage trucks, and other emergency vehicles from passage.

Tree trimmings will be collected on a call-in basis.  Residents can contact Navasota’s Public Works Department at 936-825-6450 with their address to have their debris collected by city staff.

Low hanging trees not taken care of by residents will be handled by city contractors.
