RAYS TAKE TWO-GAME LEAD OVER ASTROS IN ALCS
Three unearned first-inning runs propelled the Tampa Bay Rays to a 4-2 win over the Astros in game-two of the American League Championship Series.
The Rays now lead Houston, 2-0 in the best-of-seven series, to decide who represents the A.L. in the World Series.
After a two-out throwing error by Jose Altuve extended the Ray's first inning, Manny Margot crushed a three-run homer. A half-inning later, Margot would tumble over the wall for a spectacular catch of a foul ball by George Springer, with two outs and two runners in scoring position.
Former Astro Charlie Morton went five scoreless innings to pick up the win, while Lance McCullers took the loss, despite giving up just one earned run over seven innings. Carlos Correa had a solo homer for the Astros.
Game three of the best-of-seven series is Tuesday night at 7:40, with Astro-Launch set for 7:05 on KWHI 1280, FM 101.7 and www.kwhi.com.
