FALL ANTIQUES SHOW UNDERWAY IN ROUND TOP

DATES ANNOUNCED FOR 2021 WINTER, SPRING, FALL SHOWS

It may look quite different from previous years, but fall antiques season is back in Round Top.

The Round Top Fall Antiques Show has begun at dozens of venues in Round Top, Warrenton, Carmine, Fayetteville, and Burton, offering shoppers wide varieties of antique goods through November 1st.

Many of the antique vendors in the show are now open and selling items like vintage furnishings, art pieces, jewelry, and other collectibles.  Some venues will not open until next week.

The show typically begins in September, but was pushed back two weeks due to COVID-19.  However, the delayed start may become the norm for future shows, as next year’s fall show is set to begin October 14th and end October 31st.

Round Top Area Chamber of Commerce Director Kelli Sanford said this year’s change to the fall show was because of the coronavirus, but the cooler weather was the main focus to move the show going forward.  She said, for now, only the 2021 fall show will be affected by the move.

According to Sanford, the 2021 Winter Antiques Show will take place January 21-24, 2021, while the Spring Antiques Show is set for March 18 – April 4, 2021.

Show venues have agreed to adopt enhanced health standards for their individual shows to include mandatory masks for shoppers and dealers when social distancing cannot be achieved, shopping set up to ease the ability to remain socially distant, capacity limits according to current state standards, and enhanced hand-sanitizing facilities.
