The Lee County Texas Veterans Association has postponed the dedication ceremony for its Veterans Honor Park and Honor Wall.

The ceremony, scheduled for Saturday, was postponed in the midst of rising COVID-19 case numbers.  According to Lee County Judge Paul Fischer, as of Monday, active cases jumped from 27 last week to 66 early this week.

Three Lee County offices have been closed for 14 days as a result of positive cases being reported at those offices.  Those include the Giddings Tax Office, County Clerk’s Office, and Election Administration Office.  The offices can reopen November 23rd.  More information regarding those closures is available at www.co.lee.tx.us.

The veterans association board has not announced a new date for the Honor Park and Honor Wall dedication ceremony.
