LOCAL BANK SUPPORTS NEW YOUTH PROGRAM

A local bank has made a donation to assist a new local youth program.

Last week, Citizens State Bank presented a check for $2500 to Brenham NEXT as a startup donation towards the program.

Brenham NEXT is a new program launching in the area to equip and empower the youth of Brenham with knowledge and spiritual tools to learn, love, and lead.

The program is aimed to give opportunities in the community to serve together, provide leadership skills, teach biblical truth to the next generation, and prepare the youth with communication skills.

CSB’s Branch Manager Chris Cangelosi said Brenham is blessed to be able to have an organization like Brenham NEXT for its youth.

“Having a chance to equip and encourage the next generation to serve and lead, as well as the opportunities for the community to serve together, is having a profound impact on our local children and teen agers,” Cangelosi says. “We are so pleased to be able to support this valuable, faith-based organization.”

The donation from the bank will aid in funding for staff including an Executive Director as well as overhead costs.

More information in regards to the Brenham NEXT initiative will be released in the coming months. Board members of the Brenham NEXT program include, District Attorney Julie Renken and Captain Lloyd Powell.
