BLINN HONORED FOR FINANCIAL REPORTING

  

Blinn College has been honored for its financial reporting.

The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the Blinn College District for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR) for the 2019 fiscal year.

Blinn’s CAFR has been judged by an impartial panel to demonstrate a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the financial report.

Vice Chancellor for Business/CFO Richard Cervantes says the recognition celebrates Blinn’s commitment to the responsible and transparent financial management and planning of the Blinn District.

The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.
