TWO GRASS FIRES EXTINGUISHED NEAR PHILLIPSBURG
Local fire departments were called on to extinguish a pair of grass fires, Wednesday.
Just before 1:00 p.m., the Brenham and Salem Fire Departments were called out to the 500 block of All Jersey Road, just west of Highway 36 South near Phillipsburg.
At the scene they discovered two fires burning.
The Brenham firefighters extinguished one of the fires, while Salem—along with assistance from Chappell Hill and Bellville departments put the other fire out.
There’s no word on the amount land that was damaged in the two fires. The cause has not been announced.
