LCRA DONATES $26,000 TO LOCAL, REGIONAL FOOD BANKS
The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) has donated $26,000 to more than two dozen food banks in 22 counties throughout its service territory.
The LCRA contributed $1,000 each to 26 food banks to help provide food for people in need.
Among the food banks that received donations included Bread Partners of Washington County, In God’s Hands in Caldwell, Ministerial Alliance of Eagle Lake, AMEN Food Pantry in La Grange, Giddings Food Pantry, and House of Help Hempstead.
LCRA General Manager Phil Wilson said the LCRA is pleased to be able to help support the work of food banks across the region as they “provide for people and families through these difficult times.”
There were also food banks in Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, DeWitt, Gonzales, Hays, Kimble, Lampasas, Llano, Mason, Matagorda, McCulloch, Mills, San Saba, Tom Green, and Wharton counties that received donations.
