LOCAL WOMAN FACES CHARGES AFTER FOUND ASLEEP BEHIND THE WHEEL

A Brenham woman faces a DWI charge after her vehicle was found parked in a busy intersection early Sunday morning.
Police were called out just before 2:00 a.m. to the intersection of State Highway 36 North and West Blue Bell Road.
At the scene they found a vehicle parked at the intersection, with the driver, 52-year-old Veronica Longoria of Brenham, asleep in the vehicle. She was determined by officers to be intoxicated.
Longoria was charged with Driving While Intoxicated—Second Offense and Possession of an Open Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle.
