WEEKEND SHOOTING UNDER INVESTIGATION BY WASHINGTON CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE

  

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a shooting that occurred over the weekend.

According to Sheriff Otto Hanak, deputies received a call of a shooting in the 5000 block of FM 389 in Brenham shortly after 11:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

While en route to the location, deputies learned that a potential suspect or suspects had left the scene.  When they arrived, deputies found a male victim who had sustained what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported by Washington County EMS to a College Station medical facility for treatment.

The Sheriff’s Office says it continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting, and that no further information is available at this time.
