COLLEGE STATION RELEASES NAME OF DECEASED IN OFFICER-INVOLVED SHOOTING

  

 

College Station police have released the identity of the man who was fatally shot early Thursday morning by a police officer.

33-year-old Ryan D. Stallings was killed during a traffic stop on the Highway 6 feeder road near University Drive.

According to police, Stallings had been a suspect in an ongoing investigation.

According to police, Stallings was allegedly driving a vehicle that was transporting a large amount of drugs.  College Station officers, assisted by Texas DPS troopers, stopped the vehicle.

That’s when they say Stallings pulled a handgun from the vehicle and was shot and killed.

No officers were injured in the incident.

The Texas Rangers, Brazos County District Attorney’s Office, and CSPD Criminal Investigations Unit are all currently investigating this case.
