Buccaneers move past Paris, 79-68
BRENHAM, Texas — The Blinn men’s basketball team (4-0, 4-0) remains undefeated after defeating Paris Junior College, 79-68, Saturday in the Kruse Center.
With the win, the Buccaneers now hold a 4-0 conference and overall record.,
“I am extremely proud of our guys and everybody who played in the game made a positive impact,” head coach Scott Schumacher said. “The strength of our team is the depth. Anytime you can beat a Bill Foy coached team, it is a big win for you.”
Bonke Maring scored a team-high 17 points, Davion Coleman scored 16, and Tyler Washington and Calvin Carpenter each pitched in nine.
The Buccaneers built a 38-31 lead at the halfway mark and held on to it until the final score of 79-68.
Next, the Buccaneers will travel to compete against Jacksonville College on Wednesday, Feb. 3, at 7:30 p.m.
