The Union Pacific No. 4141 Engine that carried President George H. W. Bush to his final resting place will have a permanent home at the Bush Library and Museum.

The locomotive led the Bush funeral train from Houston to College Station in December of 2018.

The University System Board of Regents approved two acres of university grounds to house the new exhibit for a $1 per-year lease.

There are future plans to also exhibit a Marine One helicopter with No. 4141.

The new exhibits are part of a multi-million-dollar plan to expand the Library and Museum.  Museum officials said that due to security precautions the arrival date will not be announced, but it will arrive this spring.
