Two positions on the Blinn Board of Trustees are up for election this spring, but so far, there is not a contested race.

Only board incumbents Reverend Randy Wells and Rebecca Ehlert have filed for election ahead of Friday’s deadline to apply for a place on the ballot.  Both positions serve six-year terms.

Rev. Wells was appointed to the Precinct One seat in December 2018.  The position was formerly held by Richard Powell, who died in October 2018.

Ehlert is serving in the Precinct Four seat after her appointment in November 2020.  The position was originally held by Stacy Aschenbeck, who resigned in September 2018, and was filled with the appointment of Dan Gatewood in December 2018 until his resignation in August 2020.

Candidates have until Friday to file for a place on the ballot, and until next Tuesday, February 16th to file as a write-in candidate.  Election Day is Saturday, May 1st.
