BRENHAM ISD STUDENT PLACES HIGH AT SAN ANTONIO PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST
An 8th grade student at Brenham Junior High School brought a slew of awards back to Brenham after competing in a photography contest in San Antonio.
Audrey Schmidt received high honors Monday in the Intermediate Division of the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo Youth Day Photography Contest.
Schmidt took home three best of show awards, three first place awards, six second place finishes, and six third place awards across 14 categories, including elements of design, digital darkroom, night photography, nature and landscape, and travel and place.
Schmidt said she is passionate about photography because it allows her to express her emotions and feelings through her photos. She said it means a lot when she wins awards for photography because it allows her to look back and see what has come from her work.
