THREE MEN ARRESTED AFTER GRIMES CO. MAN SHOT IN SUSPECTED ROBBERY ATTEMPT

A Todd Mission man remains in critical condition after being shot several times during a suspected home invasion, and three men have been charged in connection to the shooting.

The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office says 18-year-old Tylar Jordan, 20-year-old Darian Nelson, 17-year-old Jaquerious Duckett, and a juvenile entered the victim’s home in Todd Mission on January 24th with the intent of committing armed robbery.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the victim was shot multiple times, and several of his belongings were stolen from the home.  The suspects fled the scene in a white passenger car.

The man was unresponsive when deputies and medical personnel arrived.  He was flown to a trauma facility and underwent emergency surgery.

Jaquerious Duckett
(Grimes Co. Jail)

Jordan, Nelson, and Duckett have been charged with two counts of Aggravated Robbery, a first degree felony.

The Sheriff’s Office says it is seeking additional charges, and that investigation is ongoing.
