COVID-19 VACCINES FOR ENROLLED VETERANS SATURDAY IN TEMPLE
Veterans 70 and older who are enrolled in VA health care can receive COVID-19 vaccines tomorrow (Saturday) in Temple.
The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System will administer doses of the Moderna vaccine at a vaccine clinic tomorrow at the Olin E. Teague Veterans’ Medical Center in Temple at 1901 Veterans Memorial Drive.
Veterans scheduled for their second dose will arrive through the main entrance of the hospital at the time of their scheduled appointment between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Enrolled veterans will be accepted on a walk-in basis for first doses starting at 1 p.m.
Veterans must bring their VA ID to verify enrollment and schedule their second dose, given approximately 28 days after the first. Both doses are needed for maximum effectiveness.
Vaccinations available through the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System are only for enrolled veterans at this time, not caregivers or family members.
Veterans will be vaccinated based upon vaccine availability. Long wait times are expected, and vaccine supplies are limited.
