BRENHAM SCHOOL BOARD TO CONSIDER VISION AND MISSION STATEMENTS, REPLACEMENT OF CUB STADIUM TURF
The Brenham School Board has moved its regularly scheduled board meeting on Monday to Thursday due to impending inclement weather.
Among the items on the agenda for Thursday include approval of the district’s vision and mission statements, which were developed after a series of workshops held in late 2020. Trustees will also potentially approve the replacement of the turf at Cub Stadium.
Also at Thursday’s meeting, the board will consider renewing a contract with ESC Region VI to provide the district’s internet service, as well as the purchase of an internet firewall. Trustees will also look to move their March meeting date from Monday, March 22nd to Thursday, March 11th.
The board will also meet in executive session to discuss personnel matters, including the potential restructuring of district positions and the approval of assistant superintendent contracts. The board will also undergo its annual self-appraisal.
In other items, the board will consider:
- Consolidating May 1st polling locations.
- Possible action regarding pre-bond planning services.
- Approval to add Policy DCE (Local) Employment Practices – Other Types of Contracts.
- Monthly informational reports.
The board will meet Thursday evening at 6 p.m. in Rooms 111 and 113 at Brenham High School. The meeting will be livestreamed on Brenham ISD’s YouTube channel.
