LEE CO. JUNIOR LIVESTOCK SHOW ACTIVITIES BEGIN THURSDAY

  

The annual Lee County Junior Livestock Show is set for this week in Giddings.

Animals will begin arriving at the Lee County Sheriff’s Posse Arena on Wednesday, with livestock shows on Thursday and Friday and the sale on Saturday.

Some events have been cancelled, such as the Buyer’s Get-Together Luncheon, Pee Wee Swine Showmanship, and Youth Foods/Creative Arts Competition.

Livestock activities begin Thursday with the Broiler Show at 8:30 a.m., then the Meat Rabbit Show at 10 a.m. directly followed by the Breeding Rabbit Show.  The Jr. Breeding Heifer Show will be held at 2 p.m., and the Commercial Market Heifer Show at 5 p.m. will round out Thursday’s activities.

On Friday, the Market Swine Show will take place at 8 a.m., then the Market Lamb Show at 2 p.m., the Market Goat Show at 3:30 p.m., and the Market Steer Show at 6 p.m.

The Auction Sale will be held on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

Masks are required to be worn by anyone entering the livestock barn.  Exhibitors may remove their mask when exhibiting their animal for show.
