NEW PRINCIPAL SELECTED FOR CALDWELL HIGH SCHOOL

This fall, Caldwell High School will have a new principal.
Caldwell ISD announced Dr. Justin Turner as its selection to take over for retiring principal Vicki Ochs during Monday night’s school board meeting. Ochs will retire at the end of the 2020-2021 school year.
Turner has 17 years in education -- eight as a teacher and nine as an administrator. He currently serves as an assistant principal at Bandera High School.

He has also been a teacher/coach at San Antonio Northside ISD and a junior high school principal in San Antonio ISD.
Turner holds a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and a Ph.D. in educational leadership from the University of Texas - San Antonio.
Turner was chosen over 25 candidates for the post. His official start date is April 1. He and Ochs will work together for the remainder of this school year.
