The healthcare provider said in a statement on social media that it will continue to keep in line with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).  All patients, visitors and staff will still need to wear masks at its facilities, even if those individuals are vaccinated.

Baylor Scott and White said it is encouraged by decreasing COVID-19 case numbers and hospitalizations along with increasing vaccinations.  However, it also said it “cannot let up on the evidence-based practices that have helped keep Texans safe over the last year.”

The organization said as new COVID-19 variants are discovered, continuing to practice safety measures is “all the more important.”
