DEADLINE FRIDAY TO ORDER FOR TOMATO AND PEPPER PLANT SALE

Today (Friday) is the last day to submit orders for the local AgriLife Extension Service’s annual Tomato and Pepper Plant Sale.

Order forms are available online at https://washington.agrilife.org or at the commercial exhibit building at the Washington County Expo, located at 1305 East Blue Bell Road in Brenham.

Four-packs of 13 varieties of small, medium and large tomatoes are for sale.  Five varieties of peppers are also available, along with three kinds of jalapeno peppers, two squashes and eggplant, and four types of herbs.

The plants are available for $2.50 per pack, and must be paid for in full when the order is placed.

All proceeds benefit the AgriLife Extension Horticulture Committee’s Scholarship Fund.  Scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors in Brenham and Burton who are pursuing a degree in an agriculture-related field.

Plant pickup has been moved from Tuesday, March 23rd to Thursday, March 25th, due to ongoing vaccinations at the Regional Vaccination subHUB.  It will still be held from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Washington County Expo Sales Facility.
