VACCINE CLINICS FOR ENROLLED VETERANS IN LA GRANGE, TEMPLE, PALESTINE, BROWNWOOD

  

Veterans 60 and older who are enrolled in VA health care have several upcoming opportunities to get vaccinated for COVID-19.

The La Grange VA Clinic, located at 2 Saint Marks Place, will take appointments and walk-ins tomorrow (Saturday) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Olin E. Teague Veterans’ Medical Center in Temple at 1901 Veterans Drive will administer drive-thru vaccinations tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., no appointment necessary.  The medical center also administers vaccines on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., no appointment necessary.

The Palestine VA Clinic, located at 2000 South Loop 256, Suite 124, will accept appointments and walk-ins tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Next Saturday, March 20th, the Brownwood VA Clinic at 2600 Memorial Park Drive will take appointments and walk-ins from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Veterans scheduled for appointments between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. are asked to arrive through the main entrance to be directed to vaccination stations.

Veterans will be vaccinated based upon vaccine availability.  Long wait times are expected.

Veterans must bring their VA ID to verify VA enrollment and schedule their second dose, administered approximately 28 days after the first.  Both vaccines are required for maximum effectiveness.

The vaccine clinics are offered by the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System, and are only for enrolled veterans at this time.
