BUC SOFTBALL SWEEPS SUNDAY DOUBLEHEADER

Blinn softball shuts down Morton, 15-0 and 9-1

BRENHAM, Texas — The Blinn College softball team defeated Morton College in a pair of games on Sunday at Hohlt Park.

The Buccaneers earned two run-rule wins in five innings against Morton by the scores of 15-0 and 9-1.

With the pair of wins, the Buccaneers are now 8-10 overall.

“It was good to get Skylar Shanahan and Kendall Johnson some innings today,” head coach Rick Church said. “Skylar had 13 strikeouts in five innings, and we had good offense in the first game. The second game was unique because we have never won a run-rule game where both teams had three hits.”
