A sergeant with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was commended today (Tuesday) for his work in an ongoing investigation.

Sgt. Clay Bosse was recognized during today’s Washington County Commissioners meeting by the office of State Representative Ben Leman.  Sgt. Bosse received the Prosecutor’s Commendation from the Washington County District Attorney’s Office, in the midst of an investigation being conducted by the Sheriff’s Office and the Brenham Police Department.

Assistant District Attorney Lauren Haevischer said while there is not much that can be said about the investigation right now, Sgt. Bosse and Brenham Police Detective Kejan Mehlhorn-Hock are very deserving of recognition.

Detective Mehlhorn-Hock is slated to be recognized at Thursday’s meeting of the Brenham City Council.

Also at today’s meeting, commissioners approved a variance request from the subdivision platting requirements for a .956 acre tract of land fronting Red Tip Lane, a private lane in Precinct Three.

The court also heard a series of monthly reports from the emergency management coordinator, county and district clerks, justices of the peace, auditor, tax assessor/collector, treasurer and constables.
