With the tournament win, the Buccaneers earned the Region XIV Championship, and Riley Simmons was named the Region XIV Tournament champion.

“It was a great team win for us today,” head coach David Johnson said. “I was proud of all the guys and the way they represented Blinn College on the course today.  We put four good scores together for the first time on day one, and finished at 3-under-par on the second day, so that was exciting to watch.”

“It was super exciting to watch the guys win the school's first ever Region XIV Championship in men’s golf,” Johnson said. “The guys did a fantastic job of adjusting to the changes we had to make on the fly in our regularly scheduled regional rounds.”
