BURTON STUDENTS EXCEL AT UIL DISTRICT ACADEMIC MEET

  

 

Nineteen Burton High School students have qualified for the Regional UIL Academic meet.

The students placed in the top three in their events at the District 26/2A Academic Meet at Normangee High School, this past weekend.

The Panthers scored points in 17 of the 22 academic contests and advanced 19 students across 13 events to the Regional Meet.

The Regional UIL Academic Meet will be held in Thrall, April 16th and 17th.

The Academic Coordinator for the Panthers, Kurt Ramsey, stated, "Saturday was the best team and individual showing for Burton in years.  I'm extremely proud of what they were able to accomplish, especially considering the disruption that COVID had caused."
