BELLVILLE CITY COUNCIL APPROVES FEBRUARY GAS BILL SETTLEMENT

  

The Bellville City Council has approved a counter-offer in light of an unnaturally high natural gas bill resulting from the February winter storm.

At a special meeting over a week ago (March 23) the council voted to pay $55,768 to West Texas Gas Processing in a settlement over their bill from the February storm, which was just over $1.9-million.

The vote, approved unanimously by the members present, was taken following a lengthy executive session.

At the council’s previous meeting, they also went into executive session to discuss “utility matters” but took no vote following the session.
