Highway Patrol Sergeant Justin Stohler says around 12:45 p.m., a pickup truck traveling north on FM 50 pulled out in front of a Toyota 4Runner headed west on FM 60.

According to Sgt. Stohler, the impact between the two vehicles caused the 4Runner to overturn and hit a light pole.

A passenger in the 4Runner was flown by helicopter to St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan, while the driver was taken by ambulance.  A ten-month-old child inside the vehicle was also transported for precautionary reasons.

Sgt. Stohler says the driver and passenger were responsive and talking to emergency officials at the scene.

The driver of the truck was reported to be uninjured.

The eastbound lanes of FM 60 immediately west of FM 50 were temporarily closed, but have since been reopened.
