CHASE THROUGH BRENHAM ENDS WITH ARREST NEAR CHAPPELL HILL
A chase that began west of Brenham and ended near Chappell Hill resulted in the arrest of an Austin woman.

Just before 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, Brenham Police responded to a reckless driver complaint on US 290, west of the Westwood area.
The chase, involving Brenham Police, Washington Co. Sheriff’s deputies, Blinn Police and DPS troopers, proceeded through Brenham, headed east on 290. During the chase, the suspect struck another vehicle.
The chase eventually ended when the vehicle was disabled and finally came to a stop in the 6500 block of 290 East near the entrance to the Bluebonnet Hills subdivision.
26-year-old Rikki Simone Hurt of Austin was charged with: Reckless Driving, Evading Arrest Detention with a Vehicle, and Accident Involving Damage to a Vehicle.
Hurt was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.
