BLINN TRUSTEES TO DISCUSS RELOCATING OIL AND GAS DRILL SITE
The Blinn Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting Tuesday to discuss oil and gas activity on Blinn College District property in Washington County.
The College owns the surface of 186.8 acres located in Washington County. Previous owners of the property reserved a 5 acre oil and gas drill site with an accompanying access easement.
Blinn officials say the College was recently approached by GeoSouthern Chalk II, LLC about relocating the drill site and access easement to another area of the property. Blinn administrators recommend approval of the request.
The board will meet Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. Public access to the meeting will occur in Rooms 2 and 3 of the Brenham Campus Student Center. The meeting will be livestreamed on Blinn College’s YouTube channel.
