‘MONSTER PIANO CONCERT’ TO RAISE MONEY FOR BRENHAM AREA MUSIC TEACHERS ASSOCIATION

The public is invited to enjoy an evening of piano music performed by area students at Fireman’s Park in Brenham.

The Brenham Area Music Teachers Association (BAMTA) will hold a “Monster Piano Concert” at the park pavilion on April 23rd at 7:15 p.m.  Regional students of all ages will perform a variety of song selections on multiple digital pianos in separate groups.

BAMTA Director Cheryl Amelang says the annual event is normally held at Blinn College, but due to COVID-19, organizers decided to make the concert an outdoor event.

The nonprofit organization is also selling tickets for barbecue from Texas Smoke Pit.  Tickets are $13, and will be sold until April 16th.  Dinner will be served at the concert from 5 to 7 p.m.

Funds from ticket sales will be used to sponsor students for scholarships, support the organization’s national and state associations, and subsidize student and teacher registration fees for state convention performances and contests.
