SEALY CHAMBER TO HOST ‘SPRINGTIME IN THE COUNTRY’ APRIL 24TH
The Sealy Chamber of Commerce is putting on a full day’s worth of activities at the first ever “Springtime in the Country” event.
Scheduled for next Saturday, April 24th, the event will start at 9 a.m. with a car show featuring all makes and model years, along with a chili cook-off. Guests can vote for their favorite vehicles until 11:30 a.m. and try out different varieties of chili until noon. People’s Choice Awards will be presented at 12:15 p.m. for the car show and at 12:45 p.m. for the cook-off.
A clay shoot tournament will follow starting at 1:30 p.m., with awards at 5 p.m.
Meanwhile, vendors and food trucks will be onsite all day selling food and various wares.
All activities will be held at Texas Premier Sporting Arms at 7311 Highway 36 South, just outside of Sealy.
Tickets are $1 per person, providing entry and a judging ticket for the car show and chili cook-off. Children 7 years old and under get in free. Registration for the clay shoot tournament is $150 per person, and $600 per team of four.
