LINE UP FOR 2021 HOT NIGHTS COOL TUNES RELEASED
The City of Brenham has announced the 2021 band lineup for Downtown Brenham's "Hot Nights, Cool Tunes" concert series.
This year’s July concerts on the courthouse square in Downtown Brenham will feature one new band and some familiar ones. The Fab 5 will kick off the popular summertime concert series on Saturday, July 10. Voted best cover/tribute band by the Houston Press 2011-2015, The Fab 5 feature the Beatles and other groups from the British Invasion of the '60s & '70s. They are sponsored by Tippit Dental Group, Dahmann and Associates, Seidel Schroeder, and Brenham National Bank.
On July 17, Austin's premier party band, The Rocket Brothers Band, makes their debut on the Hot Nights, Cool Tunes stage.
An 8-piece variety band featuring horns, The Rocket Brothers play popular music from the '50s 'til now. Sponsors include Brianna's Fine Salad Dressing, Associated Credit Union of Texas, Ant Street Inn, and Legacy Concrete Works and Legacy Waste Services.
On July 24, the popular Brown Sugar Band returns to the Hot Nights Cool Tunes stage with a blend of Motown, R&B, old school rock n' roll, and today's hits that will have the crowds dancing in the street. They are sponsored by Budweiser – Mike Hopkins Distributing, Citizens State Bank, Woodson Lumber Company, and Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative.
And closing out this year's series on July 31 is one of the hottest bands from last year’s concert series, the Journey tribute band Escape. For 20-years, Escape has been taking fans through the years of Journey…from "Separate Ways" to "Open Arms." Escape is sponsored by Brannon Industrial Group, Strand Associates, Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union, and Baylor Scott & White.
This summer will be the 17th season for Downtown Brenham to host "Hot Nights, Cool Tunes" on the courthouse square. All the concerts are free and will begin at 7 o’clock every Saturday night in July. Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy food and drinks from local businesses and vendors. The Stray Katz Car Club will also host the popular cruise-in of classic cars and hot rods on Alamo Street before and during the concerts.
