BRENHAM TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL ‘KIDS TO PARKS’ DAY MAY 15TH

  

 

The City of Brenham will celebrate National Kids to Parks Day, next Saturday.

Kids to Parks Day is a nationwide celebration of the great outdoors organized by National Park Trust and designed to connect kids and families with their local, state, and national parks and public lands.

Locally, the day will be recognized next Saturday (5/15), from 9 am-to-2 pm at Fireman’s Park and the Splash Pad at Henderson Park.
The day’s schedule includes:

9 – 10 am – Skateboard & Bike Safety & Basics with local experts at Skate Park at Fireman’s Park
10:15 - 11:15 am –Kids Disc Golf Demo with Cameron Crawford at Fireman’s Park
11:30 - noon – Family Fitness with Michelle Rigsby, Personal Trainer at Fireman’s Park
12 - 12:30pm – Water Safety demo at the Splash Pad with Blue Bell Aquatic Center (BBAC) staff at the Splash Pad at Henderson Park
12:30 – 2 pm – Splish! Splash! Play at the Splash Pad!
