The Jaguars will likely be led into the opener by quarterback Trevor Lawrence, the top pick in the NFL draft.  Meanwhile, the Texans’ quarterback remains to be seen, in the wake of accusations against DeShaun Watson.

The Jaguars will also feature off-season acquisition, Brenham graduate Malcom Brown.  Brown signed a two-year, $11-millon contract ($7.6-million guaranteed) after his trade from the Saints to Jacksonville.

All Texans’ games can be heard line on AM 1280 KWHI and FM 101.7.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys will open the season in prime time, Thursday night, September 9th, at the Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The game will feature just the second matchup of quarterbacks Dak Prescott and Tom Brady.

The rest of the schedule will be released Wednesday night.
